Jay Sankey Kaleidoscope

Jay Sankey Kaleidoscope

I recently watched Jay's latest and from the reviews on his website one of his greatest DVDs yet. "One of the most diverse and arresting collection of magic images in all of modern sleight-of-hand. Truly beautiful, absolutely magical."-Tim R.

I could not disagree more. Kaleidoscope come with around 30 effects and performances, but none of them were even slightly impressive. The ideas and methods were that of a child and certainly not worth the $29.95 you pay for them. As I watched it, I tried to convince myself that all of these effects were for the very beginner magician, someone who did not have much practice and maybe this was the first magic DVD they had purchased; unfortuenatley, they aren't. Jay is as serious about the material on the DVD as he is his overly used patter "Oh, that wasn't very impressive was it, well let's try this." It made my head hurt to try to understand how a professional magician is selling something so deluding to magic.

The sleights are nothing new, the ideas aren't astonishing, and the magic just isn't there. On a scale of 1 to I would feel embarrassed performing this material, Jay has truly earned himself the obvious answer.
